Average 27-day variations of geomagnetic
index Kp during the period November 1962 -May 1963 (Sinno,
1964 as reprinted by T. Obayashi -1967 -letters are ours;
(Numerals at the bottom denote serial positions of indivisual
Naksatra and also days in a 27-day solar cycle. Letters on
the top denote classes of Naksatra.
D.are the Dhruba class, namely Rohini, Uttaraphalguni,
Uttarashada and Uttaravadrapada. Their serial positions in
the Naksatra series are 4, 12, 21 and 26th. When the Moon
is observed near any of these Naksatras, the day is considered
to be auspicious to commence with work such as foundation
of a new town, plantations, coronation, religious festivities
etc. (Varahamihira) requiring meticulous planning and sustained
energy. These are the very same days when the electromagnetic
disturbances are found to be minimum in the 27-day solar energy
cycle.
L- Laghu, U-Ugra, MT-Mridu-tixna, D-Dhruba, M-Mridu,
T-Tixna, C-Chara classes of Naksatra.
The effect of superimposition is shown in
the Diagram 1 and the result is self-evident. Correspondence
of numerals does not carry any meaning as it has been arranged
deliberately. The height of the vertical lines in the Sinno's
diagram indicate the intensity of electromagnetic disturbances.
The Naksatra number designated by us to specify the position
of that Naksatra in the Naksatra series, and the letter will
denote the class to which the naksatra belongs and the nature
of the ventures that class of Naksatras patronizes.
A close scrutiny of correlation between the Naksatras with
the energy regime of the day gives following percentage of
correspondence.
