Vaidyanatha Dikshita, in his monumental work, Jataka Parijata(chapter X) stated that a period when the Moon (other planets too, by general belief) transits the junctions between the Naksatras-Moola- Jyestha; Magha -Aslesha; and Revati -Aswini, if a child, a slave or even an animal is born in the house hold, it will bring ruin to family and to new-born.

The sage has stated that, in a 27-day cycle of energy variation, there will be an 'evil period' every 9th day. Our observation from the study of energy variation generated by 27-day solar cycle indicated that there are indeed 'energy spikes' in average every ninth day, but in an individual cycle, the rapid increse of solar energy to a peak may be noticed on 8th, 9th or 10th days interval and not always exactly on the 9th day.

The modest novelist makes no hush-hush of the real woman’s true identity on whose life Tuna Gautam’s debut novel Jinnat is based. Probably the first ever Assamese novel that portrays a real woman in her lifetime is remarkable for the young writer’s voracious insight, cool, calm and collected narration of a ruthless husband and his panicky wife’s conjugal clash culminating in an intact commentary on the Islamic divorce deadlock.
